My mother is 81 and in good physical condition, but she has severe dementia and memory loss. Her prior facility in Collingwood was supposed to provide memory care, but they were acquired by another company and with covid they struggled to maintain their staff. So, her care dropped off and they barely provided any activities for my mom, and they struggled with keeping her room clean and with her personal hygiene.
We moved to Ancaster in March of this year, and we struggled to find a good memory care facility in Hamilton, until two of the other homes mentioned to me to check out Ressam Gardens. My wife and I were really impressed with the facility, it’s team and its programs. Nafia, Brooke, and Jonathan were fantastic to work with to accommodate moving our mother into the facility quickly in June.
Her care has been fantastic, and she is keeping so busy with many programs throughout the day. The facility is always well lit and incredibly clean. The care from the staff is top notch, and our mother is so happy with her new environment and the people working with her every day. Her hygiene is perfect, and she gets many walks a day with the staff on top of all the activities. The doctor assigned to the building is now taking care of her medical needs and they have a person come in regularly for her feet and hands, and a dental program right in the building.
I can’t say enough about how welcomed and how well cared for my mother is now at Ressam Gardens. I wholly recommend Ressam Gardens to anyone that needs great memory care support!
My father was transferred from another care facility end of August to Ressam Gardens. I can’t even compare the two. Ressam has been a lifesaver for me. The staff are top notch. This is not a job to them. I can tell that each and everyone of them truly care about the residents. Cody is the best! He keeps the residents engaged all day, takes them out for walk and will even take them shopping or to Tim Hortons! He really cares about the well being of the residents.
Another one I have to mention is Michael… just seeing him with my father makes my heart swell. I can be at peace now knowing my father is in the best place.
I used to dread going to the other home. Coming to ressam and hanging out with all the residents and the staff makes me happy. I truly don’t want to leave. Love love love this place!

I moved my mom into Ressam a couple of weeks ago from another residence. Every single person I have met at Ressam are truly wonderful, genuine, caring people. They really do have the residents best interests at heart and go above and beyond.
All of the staff are so kind, loving and patient. They treat all the residents as if it was their own family member they are caring for. It really feels like a family atmosphere and I always enjoy my time there when visiting and feel so welcomed. I was able to meet the owner and he explained why he opened Ressam because his family member had also been affected by dementia. Cody provides the life enrichment to the residents. He is truly passionate about what he does for the residents and is kind enough to take time to even send me picture updates of my mom and the fun activities she is participating in. This means so much to me seeing the smile on my moms face when I can’t be there with her.
I no longer worry about my mom like I used to and sleep well at night knowing she is safe, happy and well cared for. Ressam is truly a blessing and I am so grateful to all of the amazing staff for the loving care you give to our loved ones.
Very happy with Ressam Gardens. All the staff are wonderful, but in particular Kathryn and Cody are awesome. They go above and beyond to help the residents and especially my mum. They help my mum to FaceTime almost everyday so we can see her. Without them we would not be able to do this!

Ressam Gardens is a very caring facility. All the staff are amazing but in particular Kathryn and Cody. Their attention to my mum is outstanding. Always caring about her every minute of their shift. They have a huge responsibility with all the residents but tackle every concern with a smile. I don’t have to worry about my mum with them by her side. Thank you so much.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Went to visit girlfriend and I was amazed by this place. So clean and bright! I love the amount of activites they do. Kailey and Cody rock! I can’t wait to see what they do with the garden. I have never seen a place like this with so much green space surrounding it.
We are delighted to have found Ressam Gardens. The warmth, kindness and genuine concern the staff share with residents and their families is truly remarkable. It is heartwarming to know our family member is supported, understood and appreciated from all those at Ressam. Every staff member always makes the effort to get to know each resident. It is a safe space for good laughs, fun activities and great camaraderie. The building itself is bright, beautiful, clean and organized. Family members and friends are made to feel welcome and at home when spending time there. Most importantly our loved one is truly cared for in all aspects, this is everything. Thanks to all at Ressam for all you do! So appreciated.
Came to visit an old friend. The staff were very friendly. Great to see the residents out walking. Fresh air is something overlooked in facilities. Even a few minutes is beneficial. Hope to be back soon
