Alzheimer’s Society Satellite Office

The Alzheimer’s Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton is a local community agency dedicated to supporting families living with dementia. They are part of a network of Alzheimer Societies operating across Ontario offering a variety of services in our region.

On Friday April 28th we celebrated the grand opening of the Alzheimer’s Society satellite office here at Ressam Gardens. The Open House was a much anticipated milestone in this longstanding partnership between Ressam Gardens and our local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Society and a reimagining of what a memory care community can look like.

Ressam Gardens is the only community of its kind to have a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society that brings the invaluable resource of the Alzheimer Society directly to our residents and their caregivers, as well as giving an accessible space for the outer community to benefit from their offered services.

In addition to the regularly scheduled training of our staff by the educators of the Alzheimer’s Society, they have counsellors on-site in this satellite office from Monday to Friday each week for support, education, group sessions, and more.
